Remora Fish (Echeneis Naucrates)

Remora, also called sharksucker or suckerfish, part of the Echeneudae family. This species travels everywhere. They are most noted for attaching themselves to, and riding about on other large marine animals such as sharks. Remoras adhere by means of a flat, oval sucking disk on top of the head. Remoras grow up to 1 feet. Remoras feed on the leavings of their hosts’ meals or, in some instances, act as cleaners by eating the external parasites of their transporters.
