Orange Sunburst Butterflyfish (Chaetodon kleini)
Description
The Orange Butterflyfish, otherwise known as the Brown, Klein’s, Sunburst, Corallicola, and Blacklip Butterflyfish, are black lipped with a vertical black stripe going striking down their eye. They are mostly yellow-gold from their midsection to their caudal fin. Their upper halves are white with a muted black bar.
It is best to keep the Orange Butterflyfish in a 120 gallon tank or larger with live rock and plenty of hiding spaces. This type of butterflyfish can be kept in reef aquariums but with caution. They tend to eat leather corals and some soft corals. Orange Butterflyfish are also peaceful among other fish and fish of their own species. Keep in mind, to avoid aggressiveness between fish, it is best to introduce tankmates into the aquarium at the same time.
Diet
The diet of the Orange Butterflyfish should include: crustaceans, frozen marine preparations, fish, and mysis shrimp.
