Lemonpeel Angelfish (Centropyge Flavissima)
Lemonpeel Angelfish, also known as the True Lemonpeel Angelfish, are a type of dwarf angelfish. They are a vibrant yellow with neon blue lining their eyes, marking their gills, and trimming the tips of their dorsal, anal, and caudal fins.
Do not confuse the Lemonpeel Angelfish for the False Lemonpeel Angelfish. These false lemon angels lack the blue markings the the True Lemonpeels have.
The Lemonpeel Angelfish is recommended in a 70 gallon tank or larger with live rock for grazing and multiple places for hiding. These fish are aggressive towards other angelfish, so it is best to keep them with different types of tankmates. Also, keep in mind that they are not the best reef dwellers and they are prone to nipping at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles.
The diet of the Lemonpeel Angelfish should include: high-quality angelfish preparations, spirulina, marine algae, and meaty foods such as frozen shrimp and mysis. Keep in mind that they need more algae and seaweed in their diets in comparison to other angels for maintaining their health.
