Kole Yellow Eye Tang (Ctenochaetus strigosus)

$69.99Price

The Kole Yellow Eye Tang, known by several names such as the Yelloweye Bristletooth and Goldring Bristletooth, are shaped like an oval and change colorings with maturation.

Juvenile, Kole Tangs have a bright yellow-gold to tan coloring with muted stripes and spots. Once they age, their yellow coloring shifts to a darker blue/burgundy. The patterns and majority of spots over stripes are dependent on where the Kole Tang originated from.

It is best to house these fish in a 70 gallon tank or larger to provide ample swimming room. Keep in mind, Kole Yellow Eye Tangs can be aggressive towards other tangs, but they are peaceful among other fish. They do not harm sessile invertebrates in reef tank environments.

Diet

Although tangs will eat meaty foods, they prefer marine based seaweed and algae which will boosts their immune system, reduce aggression, and improve overall health. To feed them, tie dried seaweed to a rock or use a veggie clip, and feed at least 3 times per week.
