Chocolate Tang Transition (Acanthurus Pyroferus)

The Yellow Tang, also known as the Yellow Hawaiian Tang, is oval-shaped with bright yellow bodies. Like the Blue Tang, the Yellow Tang, was also featured in Finding Nemo as a peculiar tank mate who collects bubbles. The Yellow Tang is very popular due to its unique one of a kind full head to toe yellow body. A small school of these bright yellow fishes are an amazing addition to any marine aquarium. It’s wonderful to watch and if a small school is desired, you must introduce them to your aquarium at the same time to reduce aggression towards each other.

The best housing environment would be a 100 gallon tank or larger for ample room to swim. The Yellow Tang can be aggressive towards other tangs due to territorial habits, but they are rather peaceful with other types of fish.

Although tangs will eat meaty foods, they prefer marine based seaweed and algae which will boosts their immune system, reduce aggression, and improve overall health. To feed them, tie dried seaweed to a rock or use a veggie clip, and feed at least 3 times per week.
