The Banggai Cardinalfish, otherwise known as the Kaudern’s Cardinal or the Longfin Cardinalfish, are silver bodied with black vertical bars and white spots along the length of the the body and and fins. Their elongated caudal fins are lined in black and are also spotted with whited dots and a black stripe runs through their eyes.
It is best to house the Banggai Cardinalfish in a 30 gallon tank or larger with a cave, sea grass, and plenty of other plants or long spined urchins for camouflage. These fish are rather peaceful and will do well with other peaceful fish. These Cardinalfish should not be kept in large groups, but they do well with other Cardinalfish.
The diet of the Banggai Cardinalfish should include: flake foods, feeder shrimp, bloodworms, pellet foods, marine flesh, and live feeder fish.
