The Asfur Anglefish also known as the Arabian Angelfish is a very fine specimen. It is native to the Red Sea but is also found in the Persian Gulf at depths of up to 15 meters. Asfur Angelfish can grow up to 16 inches.
Asfur Angelfish are timid compared to its other angelfish cousins but it does not lack in agression towards them as well as towards its own kind. They are also known to pick on newer smaller more peaceful tank mates. It is best to keep them with bigger tank mates. Asfur Angelfish are not reef safe they tend to nip on LPS corals it is more ideal to house them in a large aquarium meant for fish only.
Asfur Angelfish are omnivores. They must be provided with plenty of meaty foods as well as seaweed and vegetable based foods. Doing this will ensure that they live a long healthy life in your aquarium.
